Weekly Meal Plan for 3/29-4/4

April is already upon us! This week we're slowing down in our school work to take a much-needed Spring break. No Community Bible Study this week means we're going to Chattanooga to visit my parents and take a field trip to the Tennessee Aquarium. On Friday, we will celebrates my husband's birthday. We're going out to eat, but I'm planning to make these for his dessert. Next week we're considering another Whole30 to get back on track. But I'd like to get some meals made for the freezer first, so … [Read more...]

Weekly Meal Plan for 3/22-28

Last week is a blur. On Monday, we attended the funeral of Daniel's grandfather and raced back to get Kate to American Heritage Girls that night. Tuesday was catch up day from all we missed on Monday plus gymnastics. Wednesday was CBS and Thursday the girls went down to spend the night with their grandparents. On Friday, my friend Sarah and I went up to Nashville to curriculum shop at the Teach Them Diligently conference. So today, I'm meal planning, school planning, and working in the … [Read more...]

Whole30 Meal Plan, Week 3

Let me preface this post by confessing that I cheated a little this week. I feel really bad too, not just guilty, but physically ill. On Friday night, I picked up ice cream for the kids. It's a family tradition we've been doing forever, so Daniel and I decided we'd eat a little too. While eating the ice cream, I began to feel bloated and my stomach started hurting. Since we haven't had dairy in 2 weeks, I realized at once that the ice cream was the culprit. So did Daniel. Yeah, that ice … [Read more...]

Weekly Meal Plan for 1/11/15 {Gluten-Free, Wk 10} + More

I'm a little late with the meal plan, but here it is! I still can't believe this is my 10th week gluten-free. {If you're interested in why I decided to go gluten-free, read this post.} While I probably need to write another post to explain it, I'm about to start a new "diet," not to lose weight, but to rectify some health problems I've been having and figure out what foods I'm not tolerating too well. Unfortunately, just eliminating gluten has not resolved all my problems. I'm still doing my … [Read more...]

Weekly Meal Plan for 1/4/15 {Gluten-Free, Wk 9} + More

This post contains affiliate links. Thanks for supporting my site.  Well, it's the first full week of January, and while it's been a pretty restful time, now we're hitting the January rush. We get back into full swing this week with American Heritage Girls on Monday and CBS (Community Bible Study) on Wednesday. Daniel goes back to a full week of work, and we'll start back a full week of school. So, I'm resurrecting the weekly meal plan :) Yesterday, I posted my "New Habits to Grow in … [Read more...]

Weekly Meal Plan for 11/9-15 {Gluten Free, Wk4}

This week my husband leaves for a hunting trip with my Dad and brother, so the girls and I will be spending some time with my Mom. That means a short school week and a short meal plan. My Mom is the best cook I know, so I will be taking advantage of her culinary skills. If you're a mom, then you know what a blessing that is! I've been reading the book Trim Healthy Mama (aff), and as a result, we're cutting back on carbohydrate-laden foods like pastas and rice. Even though there are … [Read more...]

Weekly Meal Plan for 10/12-18

Next week I'm kicking off a new diet. This is not a "I-need-to-lose-this-baby-weight" diet, although I do :) No, I've struggled with an under-active thyroid for years and have taken medication for hypothyroidism since I was pregnant with my first child. However, during this last pregnancy, I read several articles that have convinced me that I may be able to maintain healthy thyroid hormone levels by changing my diet. Don't worry, I'm still going to take my meds for the time being -- at least … [Read more...]

8/24/14 Weekly Meal Plan + Goals

Well, Thursday of this week is my "due date." I'm always a little reluctant to use that term since the baby will come whenever she's ready, but considering all three of our girls have arrived within 2-4 days of my due date, I'm thinking Baby A will be here this week. The meals we have this week will all be simple to fix because, well, honestly, my energy is limited and I'm feeling a little like I did in my first trimester...queasy and nauseous. We may even eat a few freezer meals if I get … [Read more...]

8/17/14 Weekly Meal Plan + Goals

38 weeks! I can't believe how quickly time is passing by!! I'm getting excited to meet this new baby although I admit that I'm a bit nervous about what our "new normal" is going to look like. I've never been good with change, and every time we've added a new baby to the mix, the transition has been a struggle for me. It's normal, I know, but I would appreciate your prayers in the weeks and months to come. Thank you!! This week is a busy one. We have American Heritage Girls Registration … [Read more...]
