8/10/14 Weekly Meal Plan & Goals

Well, the blog has been silent for awhile, and I apologize. No, I haven't had the baby, but life has been full and any extra time I've had lately has been spent resting. At 37 weeks, there ain't a whole lot of energy in this old Mama, so I'm trying to be careful in how I expend it. This past week I returned from a leadership retreat that blessed me beyond belief and came home to celebrate my 35th birthday with my sweet family. We've been schooling in full force, and I've made some changes … [Read more...]

7/20/14 Weekly Meal Plan & Goals

This post may contain affiliate links.  I know I've been a little erratic with posting our weekly menu. The weekends are so full now that we've resumed homeschooling, so Saturdays have become a planning day for me. I plan our meals, activities & appointments for the week, and all of our school work. This coming week is a nice slow one compared with the past two in which we had swimming lessons every afternoon. The only plans are a visit from my parents early in the week and a visit … [Read more...]

7/6/14 Weekly Meal Plan {The Eat-Out-of-the-Freezer Edition}

Hi, friends! I apologize for not posting our meal plan last week. We did have one but a busy weekend kept me getting on the website. And even though I've had a long weekend to post this week's meal plan, I'm just now getting around to it--at 9:00 Sunday night. Oh, well, you do what you can do! A couple things I want to share with you this week: 1. I'm excited to share that I will be a regular contributor to a brand new website called Year Round Homeschooling, set to debut August 1. If … [Read more...]

6/22/14 Weekly Meal Plan

Vacation Bible School begins this week at our church, which means from Sunday to Wednesday, our family has the opportunity to eat two dinners: dinner at home before church (because we usually eat around 6:00), followed by a late second dinner after VBS. Our church is great about feeding its members :) I've also been blessed with an "abundance" of energy the past few days, which I'm hoping stays so I can make some freezer meals. With a little more than 2 months before our baby girl arrives, I … [Read more...]

Weekly Meal Plan {5/25-31} + Frugal Chicken Tips

We are gearing up for a spectacular week! This weekend we celebrated Daniel's niece's high school graduation and on Sunday traveled to my hometown for a friend's wedding. This will be our last week of "summer break" as we plan to start back to school on June 2. My girls are eager to get back to work, so we will probably do a little math, reading, and handwriting this week to ease back into our routine. Later this week, I hope to post our curriculum plans this week as well as a look at our … [Read more...]

Weekly Meal Plan {5/11-18} & a Helpful Tip

We're easing into summer this week as our Bible study draws to a close. The girls will be going to their grandparents on Friday so Daniel and I can go out and celebrate our wedding anniversary. We're continuing to work on chores, character, and outdoor fun around here too! This week's meal plan consists of one freezer meal, one meatless entree, and 4 other kid-friendly favorites. Sunday Salads & Pizza Bread {Slice a loaf of French or Italian bread in half. Spread pizza sauce on both … [Read more...]

Meal Planning Tip #1 & Our Weekly Meal Plan

I haven't posted a meal plan in quite a while, but I've honestly been wanting to because I love reading other people's posts with recipe ideas and trying them out. When I find a good one, I add it to my Menu Plan board on Pinterest. I also have a board filled with Pinned Recipes I've Tried that I draw from on a regular basis as I meal plan, so these are recipes that have passed the litmus test with my husband and children. Many of the recipes you'll find posted here can also be found on … [Read more...]
