When God Stirs Our Hearts

Fifty years after its destruction by the Babylonians in 586 B.C., the exiles began rebuilding Solomon's temple. After only 6 years -- in 530 B.C. -- their work stopped. Frustrated and intimidated by opposition all around them, the Jewish people abandoned the temple rebuilding process, and for over 10 years, construction on the Lord's house came to a standstill.The hearts that God had stirred up to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple only 8 years earlier (Ezra 1:5) had already quieted. Why I’ve Been MIA Lately

Lest you think I've fallen off the planet and am floating in outer space somewhere, I assure you I have not. Rather we are adjusting to a new routine with some brand new activities (i.e. homeschooling & American Heritage Girls) and responsibilities (i.e. leading a new moms group in our CBS Bible study). Each of these are wonderful but time-consuming in their own beautiful ways; however, they do not allow much time for blogging right now.I will continue my series on "Creating a Library of Good … [Read more...]

Some of My Favorite Blogs & What Really Makes Them Special

Recently, I posted on my top 5 criteria for the blogs I follow. Today I wanted to share with you some of my favorites. These are the blogs that I read regularly, as in daily. I also read other blogs through Bloglovin' and follow many great blogs on Facebook, but I don't subscribe to all of these blogs via email, my preferred means of following a site. My Top 5 Criteria for Blogs I Follow {Would I Follow Yours?}

I read a lot of blogs. My email inbox, however, has been so swamped with the latest posts from all these said blogs that I've been going to bed at night with 40+ unread email still sitting there. As I began "unsubscribing," I started to see a pattern to the blogs I'm … [Read more...]

Slowing Down: What the Weary Do When They Finally Reach Their Limit

 Photo credit: Omer UnluLife has been hectic lately. I haven't had much time to blog. I've read very little in terms of books. My to-do list never seems to get done, and my email inbox is maxed out. Dreaming & Growing

I've never been much of a dreamer. Until lately. And now my head is swimming with thoughts that I'm afraid, too tired, or uncertain how to put into action.
