October Meal Plan

I’m a meal planner. While a weekly meal plan is usually my go-to, I’m finding that planning meals for the month frees up my time during the week. I know some people prefer to be spontaneous, but that doesn’t work for me. I enjoy cooking but need a plan or else when 5:00 rolls around, I lose my cool. It’s not pretty.

Usually, I plan meals for the week. On Friday afternoons, I sit down with my computer and family cookbook and look at what’s on sale at the local grocery store. Then, I plan out breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for the week, type it up, print it out, and post it on the fridge for easy access for all. It takes me over an hour to do all this.

Last month, though, I planned meals for the entire month of September. I wanted to see if it saved me time. Well, it was such a time saver that I am doing it again.

Below you will find a link to my October Meal Plan. It’s in PDF format, so you can print it out. Or click on the recipe links to access some new recipes. Most of these meals are family favorites, so even if you don’t want to try all 31 meals, you just might find a few new recipes to try.

October 2017 Meal Plan

October can be a busy month for our family with two birthdays, Halloween, and school. I hope my monthly meal plan will allow me a little more time with my family and a little less time planning meals.
