This is Day 5 of our series on “Surviving & Thriving with a Newborn” – part of the 31 day writing challenge hosted by the Nester. Every day in October I’ll be sharing a tip about how to make the most of and enjoy the sleep-deprived newborn days. Sunday is a day of rest, so on the Lord’s Day, you will find short posts of encouragement & God’s Word.
In this season of explosive diapers, excessive spit-up, and erratic sleep, cling to the Lord. He is your rock and your salvation, your rest and your comfort.
Look at your sweet baby and thank God for this blessing. YOU are just the right Mama for this child. She or he will challenge you and refine you like nothing else will.
Remember Solomon’s wise words from Psalm 127:3-5:
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them;
They shall not be ashamed.
You are blessed by a Father who loves His children deeply & unconditionally. Remember, your baby is a blessing from the Lord, and praise Him today for being the giver of good gifts — even if that gift makes life a little crazy at times.
Blessings to you this Sunday,
