Goals: February Progress & March Plans + FREE Printable

Can you believe February is already over? I cannot but I confess that I have been praying away the days lately, hoping that this cold weather and morning sickness will pass, and all I can say is God is so good! We are having sunnier, warmer days here in Tennessee, and the all-day bouts with morning sickness are pretty much over. Praise be to God!

February has been a much more productive month in terms of goals progress than January.

In February, I broke down my 8 goals for 2014 in to more manageable, specific monthly goals to help me stay on track and progress toward those bigger goals. Here are my February goals by category and how I did:


Continue to commit to my regular prayer time & to use my Prayer Journal

Read A Praying Life {Started reading but need to commit to reading a specified number of chapters}


Date night with Daniel

Spend quality time together most evenings {We’ve been watching Arrested Development on Netflix every night.}


Continue reading Wisdom & the Millers with the girls  {Finished!}

Create a chart of scriptures for discipline {Did not get to this.}


Start back meal planning & couponing {At the end of February, I’m proud to say I’m back on the meal planning train. Pregnancy derailed it for a while. Unfortunately, couponing has not revived, and I’m not sure it will return to its former glory days simply because of our diet.}


Research curriculum options for next year specifically science, history and language arts {I did a little research in these areas but have not made any firm decisions.}


Monitor my spending habits more closely especially eating out {Ugh. Not doing too good with this one, but March is a new month and I’m committed to staying in budget!}

Begin researching consignment sales & gathering clothes & items  


Exercise 3 days a week {Struggling with this one because my energy levels are way low.}

Find ways to drink more water {I’m actually drinking water again…with lemons & limes.}

Professional {Blog}

Write something everyday {Getting there: The end of February has seen more writing. Hopeful about March.}

March is a brand new month, so if you’ve fallen behind on your goals, dust off your list and re-commit to tackling those goals this month. Break those big goals down so you see some progress each month. You might even create weekly goals like Deanna suggests to keep you on track each day!

  2. I love that you honestly share how you’re doing with your personal goals. I set many goals, and yet am always too chicken to share them! And thanks for the goal sheet… I’m going to use it for inspiration for a new accountability sheet I have to put together… at least that is a goal for this week!
